About the love of a family
By TeachOneWorld on December 6, 2016
Because the Winter Holidays are almost here, I thought this is one of the best moments to share some family moments. And not my moments, but universal ones that members of the same family share together. This project’s aim is to emphasize some daily key moments that we should value even more, together with our dear ones.
The secure base
I have always understood and seen the concept of the family as a secure base where the members can always trust each other. Each child’s confidence is born, grows and develops within the context of family relationships.
About the family roles
For a child, the family serves many purposes:
Assuring the constant and caring presence of parents.

Providing loving arms in which to fall asleep.

Listening to and solving dilemmas big and small.
by Jordan Whitt
Supplying a constant supply of sibling playmates and rivals.

A positive emotional climate
Or, at least, this is the way it should be. I still remember my experience with Teach for Romania when I met not only children in need in a school context, but also the context of their families and relatives. It is easily understood that this main climate can influence the development and growth of the child.
Also, it is well known that children receive food and protection along with a dose of emotional warmth that they need in order to become mature from an inner point of view. All these give us the confidence to make the first step, to laugh and ask, to play and explore.
Mutual gestures of affection, jokes and games are the mark of a positive emotional climate that brings growth and daily learning in life’s first training ground, which we call the family.

I truly believe that nothing is more rewarding than spending time with your loved ones. And don’t forget that the love of a family is life’s greatest blessing.
